Enterprise social network, self-hosted

Deploy Boostan across your leading organization

Boostan brings company feeds, versioned announcements, chat, groups and files into one workspace that runs on your infrastructure, behind your identity provider.

  • Self-hosted

Runs from a single Docker Compose stack on servers you control.

  • Single sign-on

Keycloak-backed accounts, e-mail confirmation and SSO for your directory.

  • Role-based access

Realm roles decide who can publish, moderate, index and view statistics.

  • Built for review

Post history keeps every published version; reports land in a moderation queue.

Keep in touch with your organization

Feeds, groups, channels and chat in one place, so nothing important gets lost between inboxes.

Everything a workplace network needs

Eight areas, one rail. Each one is a first-class part of the product, not a plug-in.

  • Feeds

A company-wide front page with posts, links, images, video and polls. Follow people to narrow it down.

  • Posts with versions

Draft long-form announcements in a rich editor, publish, then revise. Readers can open any earlier version.

  • Chat and groups

Private chats and groups with invite links, replies, reactions, slow mode and quiet hours, delivered live.

  • Files

Images, video, audio, PDFs and documents with six visibility levels and signed download links.

  • Library

Save posts into folders and keep a personal reading list.

  • Search

Full-text search over indexed content for the roles that are allowed to see it.

  • Notifications

An inbox for mentions, follows and comments, with per-channel preferences.

  • Administration

Members, roles, bans, report queue, search indexing and usage statistics in one place.

Up and running in three steps

The order matters: the stack comes first, identity second, people last.

  1. 1

    Deploy the stack

docker compose up brings the API, database, Keycloak and this front end online on your network.

  2. 2

    Connect your identity provider

Point Keycloak at your directory or use local accounts with e-mail confirmation. Roles map to permissions.

  3. 3

    Invite your people

Members register, confirm and land on the company feed. Groups and channels grow from there.

Your data never leaves your servers

Boostan is designed for organizations that cannot hand their internal conversations to a third party.

  • Tokens stay server-side: the browser holds only an encrypted, HttpOnly session cookie.
  • A strict Content Security Policy with per-request nonces and hardened headers on every response.
  • Six visibility levels per file, from public to owner-only, enforced by the API.
  • Content you are not allowed to see is not found, not merely hidden.
